Apparently there's still a problem with loot in H1Z1. I thought everything was fixed already since I was finally finding items inside of containers, but I guess the drop rates still need some adjusting. I would agree with that since wrecked cars still never have anything inside of them.
Whatever the case, a new patch is coming later today. While loot may be the primary focus of it, SOE president John Smedley says it'll have "many other" fixes as well.
Patch notes haven't been released yet so we don't know exactly what else the patch will address, but Smedley recently said the developers were working to add not only more zombies to the game, but smarter ones as well. As I wrote in my initial impressions piece, H1Z1 has a solid foundation, but there's a serious lack of danger in the game. Hopefully today's patch will also address this.
