BioWare’s latest title, Anthem, the online, open-world shooter, has lost a high profile member of its development team. The game is still a year away from release, thankfully allowing such a big change to be contained, but the team has some big shoes to fill.
Steven Gilmour, who sat in the lead animator chair for Anthem, has left the studio. His LinkedIn profile has solidified the news that Gilmour’s seventeen-year run at BioWare has come to an end. He’s worked on several major projects, including Knights of the Old Republic, Mass Effect (1,2 & 3), and Dragon Age: Inquisition.
In other Anthem news, BioWare has confirmed a beta is coming, so we can truly see if Gilmour’s departure from the studio has rocked the boat too hard. Considering the launch window of later 2018, we expect this isn’t too much to worry about. We will, however, miss Steven Gilmour ‘s work.
