Once again have smart users identified possibly new game mechanics and modes which are headed to Apex Legends. Evidence points towards the popular F2P battle royale game receiving NPC characters and players to wallrun similar to Titanfall games. Even a nighttime game mode has been leaked.
Dextero reports on the large leak which has been done by “Apex Legends – News & Leaks“. A dedicated group only working on finding new and hidden content for the game. Apex Legends has gotten off to a tremendous launch, even dethroning Fortnite in popularity, so it is hardly a surprise that the game is going to receive more content.
But this substantial leak is giving players a glimpse at some things they really could not see coming. New maps, legend characters and weapons are the norm and to be expected. But how about wallrunning? Now that’s a surprise. Developer Respawn’s previous games in the Titanfall franchise famously were known for offering the deliberating and simply fun traversal mechanic. Apex Legends notably did not incorporate it but according to the new leaks, it’s coming.
Alongside another noteworthy new addition in form of NPCs. But these aren’t just there to populate the large map but also accompany players as fighters themselves as part of their teams. The intuitive ping system is basically meant for commanding AI players, so we’re optimistic this will be a great addition.
Last but not least, we have evidence that a dynamic time of day is also coming for Apex Legends. It’s not clear how it will work. Passing quickly from day to night or fixed, but nighttime is coming it seems.
