Apex Legends is getting cross-play and a Nintendo Switch port

Apex Legends has been holding its own in the battle royale genre since its release last winter. As it prepares to enter its new season next week, Respawn has announced that it’ll expand where and how you can play their battle royale title later this year.

For starters, Apex Legends is coming to Steam and Nintendo Switch this fall. No actual dates have been given but when they launch, you’ll also be able to party up with players no matter where they play. Respawn’s beloved battle royale game will get cross-play this fall, no matter what platform you play on.

It’s currently unclear if the Nintendo Switch port will have any notable restrictions beyond just performance stuff but Respawn promises more details in the coming months. We’ll continue to keep you posted as we learn more.

Apex Legends is out now on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
