Ark: Survival Evolved is a popular survival game involving giant dinosaurs than can be captured and bent to your will. Until last week, the price for the game on PC was $30 while it was in Early Access. But, as stated back in June, the price would go up as the game launched into a full release. With the release scheduled for August, Studio Wildcard has raised the price as they said they would to $60.
For those who already own Ark, no additional purchasing is necessary, but for those who haven't bought it yet, the price has doubled. The game is already $60 on Xbox One through the Game Preview program.
Ark: Survival Evolved is said to have "surprise new content at launch and beyond." This will likely be in the form of new gameplay, creatures, and story points.
A game similar to Ark: Survival Evolved that is currently on Steam Early Access for $30 is Conan Exiles, which is also getting an Xbox One release in August, along with a substantial update to both the PC and console version.
