ARK: Survival Evolved’s Spinoff game is coming to PS4

Studio Wildcard, amidst their now resolved legal troubles, have been quite busy on the development front with the launch of ARK: Survival of the Fittest, a free-to-play spinoff game based on the mechanics of its parent game, ARK: Survival Evolved. It was announced today that the game will arrive on PS4 to all players this summer on July 19th.

The developers are calling ARK: Survival of the Fittest a MOSA (multiplayer online survival arena) where up to 70 players fight to death to be the last one standing. In other words, it's pretty much The Hunger Games meets ARK. And it's free to play.

Studio Wildcard has also announced that they are bringing the Survivor League to PS4 as well. That means that the top players will qualify for cash prizes and be eligible for invitationals and future events. Who says you can't make money playing video games?
