Artist’s reimagining of Disney films in Tim Burton’s style is amazing

For anyone familiar with Tim Burton, you're aware his work has a sort of, shall we say, unique style and flair. His approach to filmmaking may not suit everyone, but there's no denying his films — from The Nightmare Before Christmas to Edward Scissorhands — have a distinct look and feel to them.

But what would happen if some of your favorite classic Disney animated movies were in the hands of the legendary director? What if Tim Burton had the reigns on films like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Lion King? You can probably imagine how different they'd look; but, thanks to Moscow-based artist and animator Andrew Taruson, you don't need to — we have a very good idea now.

Taruson posted a number of movie posters reimagining favorite Disney classics in the distinct style of Tim Burton. And the would-be results are amazing.

Below are just a few examples, but I highly suggest checking out Taruson's entire portfolio as it's filled with some stunning work.
