Former PlayStation Vita exclusive Assassin's Creed Liberation is getting an HD remake. Ubisoft announced today at its Digital Days event the development of Assassin's Creed Liberation HD, a high-definition adaptation that will arrive on the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
For those who don't own a Vita, Liberation is set in 1765. You play as Aveline de Grandpré, an assassin of mixed French and African heritage, ready to defend the people of New Orleans from the invading Spanish forces.
Liberation HD introduces a complete graphical overhaul, re-mastered music and sound effects, a revamped gameplay experience, and new missions that dive deeper into Aveline's story. For those of you planning on getting Black Flag on PS3 or PS4, I highly suggest you check out Liberation HD as the PlayStation versions of Black Flag will contain special bonus content featuring Aveline de Grandpré.
Assassin's Creed Liberation HD will be released as a digital title in 2014.
