Assassin’s Creed movie gets a new release date

Fox announced a ton of new and updated release dates for their upcoming films, including the X-Men spin-off Gambit. Among the films involved in the announcment was Assassin's Creed starring Michael Fassbender.

Scheduled to be directed by Justin Kurzel and the script penned by Exodus writers Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, Assassin's Creed will be coming to theaters on December 21, 2016. Kurzel recently directed Michael Fassbender in an adaptation of Macbeth, so the two have worked together. Fassbender is also producing the film, which little is known of its plot other than it being a mixture of the game and new story elements.
