It was great to see the classic role-playing game Baldur's Gate return in new form on PC, Mac, and iOS, but contractual issues have forced the removal of Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition from Beamdog's website and Apple's App Store.
"At the request of Atari legal, we removed the game from sale on Beamdog and the App stores," Beamdog chief executive officer Trent Oster told Game Informer. "Atari is still selling the game through their channels. We're trying to remedy the situation, and I'm hopeful we can come to an arrangement."
Atari is owner of the Baldur's Gate titles. Once any remaining issues are resolved, Beamdog can release the latest patch and the version for Android. The launch of Baldur's Gate 2: Enhanced Edition is also temporarily on delay.
If you want to buy the Enhanced Edition for PC for iPad, you can do so via the company's website. It costs $20 or $10, respectively.
