Atari shows off ‘Spearkerhat’ invention; Looking for 10 beta testers

While Atari shows off their upcoming Ataribox, they have been secretly hard at work making a wearable device that will not only assault your face with music but everyone else around you.

The 'Speakerhat' from Atari is just as the name suggests, a hat with built-in speakers. The hat also has a microphone and can pair with phones, tablets, or PCs via Bluetooth to play music, phone calls, "other media content," and receive voice commands for your device.

Atari has described the Speakerhat as feeling "natural and normal to wear for long periods of time."

A 'Multiplayer Mode' for the hat was also detailed, revealing that multiple Speakhat users can tune into the same broadcast and listen to a single audio stream in perfect synchronization. The hat is also rechargeable.

You can sign up for the Speakerhat beta here – limited to 10 people.
