Atlus and Ace Team announce Zeno Clash II for 2013

Atlus plans to publish Zeno Clash II, the sequel to the 2009 first-person melee brawler, next year for PC, PlayStation Network, and Xbox Live Arcade. The company is working with Ace Team, the game's original developer and creator of Rock of Ages.

As Ghat, players can explore the open world of Zenozoik and discover new sights, creatures, weapons, and items in addition to those from the first game.

Zeno Clash II features an improved enemy "Lock-on" function and RPG elements that allow players to increase their strength and defense or master other qualities.

The game also includes drop-in/drop-out online cooperative multiplayer that partners Ghat with his sister, Rimat.

"The world of Zenozoik is one of wild dreams and wilder nightmares," said Andres Bordeu, co-founder of Ace Team. "This is part of the reason we are working on Zeno Clash II, to give players the opportunity to explore Zenozoik with a friend via online cooperative multiplayer, turning those moments of wonder and awe into a shared adventure. We will make certain that going back and forth between solo and cooperative play preserves the consistency and impact of the narrative experience, while still allowing friends easily drop in and out of the game's fulfilling exploration and visceral melee combat."
