Another day, another story of someone doing something stupid and blaming it on Grand Theft Auto 5. Today's act of stupidity comes from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where an Auburn student in town for the Auburn-LSU football game stole a truck, kidnapped a woman and hit several parked cars. And he said he was trying to "see what it was really like to play the video game Grand Theft Auto," according to Cpl. Don Coppola.
I'm calling this the worst reenactment of GTA ever. If the only chaos he can cause is hitting some parked cars and being charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle, nine counts of Hit-and-Run, and Simple Kidnapping, then he's not very good at GTA.
So, Zachary Burgess, the Auburn student and club lacrosse player that performed this pathetic act and then blamed it on GTA as the influence, all you did was prove two things:
- That all lacrosse players are douchebags
- There's absolutely so little that's interesting to do in Alabama that you need to do something like this for entertainment
No one was injured in the ordeal, thank goodness. Unless you want to count the Auburn football team, who went down early to LSU 21-0 and ended up losing 35-21.
Idiot.
