Auran’s Trainz Custom Content for PC Reaches 1.1 Million Downloads
Download Station Offers More Than 12,000 Items for Players

The Ultimate Trainz Collection, today announced that custom content from
their Trainz Download Station has been downloaded 1.1 million times.
Players can access the Trainz Download Station as part of both titles.

downloads of anything in the games industry is a notable accomplishment,”

significant because it shows the railroad enthusiast market for games is huge.
Combined with our 50,000+ online membership this shows that Trainz is
clearly recognized as the number one online community in this genre.”
The Ultimate Trainz
Collection, which
contains two CDs with content including Trainz Railroad Simulator and
Paint Shed, has won Editor’s Choice Awards from GameZone and Game
Chronicles, and was described in Forbes as the “latest and greatest
of these [railroad] sims.”
The Trainz Download
Station offers more than 12,000 custom items that players can easily
download. The huge inventory of items includes: 1,600 locomotives; 2,700
different railroad cars called “rolling stock”; 3,000 buildings; 1,300 trackside
accessories; and thousands of additional train features, such as new railroads,
animals, people, and roads.
“We expect the inventory of
downloadable items to exceed 20,000 in the next few months,” said Hilliam,
“especially with the pending release of our next title, Trainz Railroad
Simulator 2004 which we previewed at E3. TRS2004 will allow people to
create customized railroad activities quickly and simply using our new 3D editor
adding a whole new exciting category for downloading.”
