Speaking in an interview with Hey U Guys, directors of the upcoming Captain America: Civil War Anthony and Joe Russo spoke about some of the fates of out favorite Marvel heroes in their next film Avengers: Infinity War.
"Look, we are moving into a phase now in the storytelling where, when we bring Captain America's story forward from Civil War, it's going to be into Avengers: Infinity War," said Anthony Russo. "That's the next chapter, so to speak, in this specific story, and there's been no talk of where we go beyond that yet. Those are two gigantic movies that are intended to be the culmination of the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. There's going to be storytelling that happens in those films that we haven't seen yet in the MCU, so who's to say what the condition of the characters are at that point? Who even makes it to that movie to begin with, but who makes it out of those movies is anybody's guess at this point."
It's safe to say we will see some fan favorites kick the bucket, especially after that dream sequence in Avengers: Age of Ultron with the Avengers lying dead in a corpse pile. The only question is, who will make it out of the cosmic war stretching across the galaxy? Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 releases May 4th, 2018 and Part 2 releases May 3rd, 2019.
Captain America: Civil War releases on May 6th and is already receiving critical acclaim.
