Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice trailer premiering with Mad Max: Fury Road

The first official trailer for Warner Bros.' eagerly awaited Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will debut in theaters ahead of Mad Max: Fury Road, according to Collider.

Citing "a few sources," the report claims that the trailer is attached "to all copies" of Mad Max: Fury Road, which hits theaters on May 15. It makes sense to attach the two because not only are both Mad Max: Fury Road and Batman v. Superman WB films, but Mad Max is also the studio's first big blockbuster movie of the summer.

According to the sources, WB is waiting to release the trailer until two weeks after the May 1st release of Avengers: Age of Ultron as to avoid competition with a film that'll surely destroy records and dominate all chatter on social media. By the time May 15th rolls around, Age of Ultron will have already been out two weeks and most of the hype will have (hopefully) died down, making it the perfect time to shift the conversation towards another blockbuster superhero film.

Technically, the first footage of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was unveiled last year at Comic-Con, a year after the film was announced as a sequel to 2013's Man of Steel. However, this will be the first official trailer released to the massive public.

Warner Bros. hasn't officially acknowledged the rumor, but Variety has also confirmed the news with their own group of sources.

The only thing my sources told me was that Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will release on March 25, 2016.
