Nintendo Switch fans who've been eagerly awaiting Joe Madureira's RPG video game adaptation and follow up to his comic series, Battle Chasers, are going to have to wait a little longer. THQ Nordic and Madureira's Airship Syndicate (the developer) have officially announced that the Switch version, which was once (briefly) announced as a timed exclusive, will be delayed.
Battle Chasers: Nightwar, which was originally started as a Kickstarter project, before being scooped up by THQ Nordic, continues the story of the comic book that Madureira started back in 1998. The game is being developed as a traditional, turned-based RPG, with an art style very close to the source material. The Xbox One, PS4 and PC version of Nightwar remains on track for its previously announced October 3 release.
To whet the appetite of gamers, the studio has released an animated intro by Powerhouse Animation Studio, the same team behind the Netflix animated Castlevania series.
