Deceiving your online friends is important in gaming. Let’s face it, with genres like a MMOs and just the massive internet itself, you tend to build up a pretty large friend base. If you’re anything like me though, you want your “me” time every once in a while, even in online games. Well Blizzard and Battle.net is allowing you to just this.
For you World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, and Diablo III players… in an upcoming patch you’ll be able to set your status to “Appear Offline” when you are in-fact online. Tricky. Along with these options you’ll also be able to set you status as Available, Busy, and Away. Let your friends know what you are doing at all time!
I just have this weird image of playing WoW, being on a guild list as “on,” but your status says “offline.” Who you trying to pull a fast one over on here guildie?
I’m watching you.
