Battlefield 3 Premium has sold more than 1.3 million subscriptions

EA has announced its financials results for Q1 of its current fiscal year, noting that the Battlefield 3 Premium service has sold over 1.3 million subscriptions to date.

The service, which was unveiled at E3 in June, reportedly had more than 800,000 members in less than a month after being made available. It reached the initial 800,000 milestone in just the first two week's of Premium's availability.

Now, about two months since its release, it looks like Battlefield 3 Premium is continuing to prove to be a success, despite the initial doubters. For what it offers, Battlefield 3 Premium is a great purchase, in my opinion, especially for long time Battlefield fans.

Requiring a one-time payment of $49.99, Battlefield 3 Premium includes all five Battlefield 3 expansion packs with early access guaranteed to all future add-ons, exclusive in-game items, extra Double XP events, new dog tags, and tons more features.

The next expansion will be Battlefield 3: Armored Kill which features 5 new drivable vehicles including mobile artillery, tanks, and ATV's complete with over 20 vehicle specific unlocks. Following the release of Armored Kill, are two more expansion packs: Battlefield 3: Aftermath coming this December and Battlefield 3: End Game coming in March of 2013.

After March 2013, I assume it will be time to start looking forward to Battlefield 4 whose beta testing is set to begin in fall 2013.
