Battlefield 4 beta adds Obliteration mode, now live on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC

Battlefield 4's open beta is in full gear, having opened to the general public last week. Giving fans a taste of what the highly anticipated first-person shooter has in store for them when it releases later this month, DICE has made live Obliteration, one of the two new modes being introduced in Battlefield 4.

Now live in all three version (Xbox 360, PS3, and PC), Obliteration mode sees teams race to pick up a randomly spawned bomb, drop it off at one of their opponent's three objectives, arm it, and destroy it. Once the bomb detonates, a new one will spawn at a different random location and it all starts over again until one team has detonated all of the other team's objectives.

Obliteration is designed for 25 players on current-gen systems, but will offer support for up to 32 players on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. For those who haven't yet signed up for the open beta, here's how you can do so.

Are you enjoying your time in Battlefield 4 so far?
