In an effort to increase network stability for Battlefield 4 on PlayStation 4, DICE has temporarily disabled Commander Mode.
"One reason to some of the crashes we have been seeing on PS4 is tied to Commander Mode, so we have chosen to disable Commander Mode on PS4 for now while working on a fix for the root cause of this issue," DICE said in an update on Battlelog.
"This will increase network stability while we are fixing the issue. Stay tuned for more updates."
DICE continues to work at identifying issues causing frequent crashes on the PlayStation 4. The studio is hoping to get an update out by early next week.
Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 version also has a patch incoming. It's undergoing final testing and is expected to go live soon. Similarly, DICE has a new PC game update in the works aimed at fixing "a number of remaining issues in the game."
