Battlefield 4's first downloadable expansion pack, Second Assault, will be available at launch first on Xbox One, Electronic Arts confirmed today. The Second Assault DLC was already revealed as a timed exclusive for the Xbox One during Microsoft's E3 press conference, but today's announcement solidifies a release that will coincide with the launch of Microsoft's next-gen system.
Second Assault includes four fan-favorite Battlefield 3 maps re-imagined with Frostbite 3. It is included as part of the Battlefield 4 Premium subscription, along with four other content packs, for $49.99. Supposedly, Premium members also receive two-weeks early access to all expansion packs, but I doubt that'll work in this case.
For a first look at the expansion pack, tune in to the Battlefield 4: Showdown Live Europe vs. USA livestream event on November 1, where two teams of 32-players will compete in an event in London.
Battlefield 4 will launch on October 29 for PS3, Xbox 360,a nd PC. The highly anticipated FPS will also launch alongside the PS4 on November 15th and the Xbox One on November 22nd. Unfortunately, not other release dates for Second Assault on other platforms have been announced, though I suspect a 30-day wait.
