Battlefield: Hardline was just announced this week and despite knowing very little about the new game, it's already available for pre-order. As is the case with most annualized franchises, you know there's a group of people that will buy the new game year-in and year-out, despite how little we know about it. What's interesting about Hardline though, is that it's ditching the traditional battlefield in favor of a cops versus criminals approach.
Unfortunately, the only bit of details the Origin store offers us about Hardline is a very brief game overview: "Battlefield Hardline is a first-person action game set against the backdrop of the war on crime and the battle between cops and criminals."
It's certainly an interesting spin on the Battlefield series, and we'll definitely learn more at E3 as EA is planning a more formal reveal during their media briefing on Monday, June 9, at 12:00pm PDT. If you don't need any more details, you can pre-order the game here.
