Battlestar Galactica Online Browser Game Begins Open Beta

The Battlestar Galactica browser MMO has entered open beta, so all you Capricans (or Cylons) can jump into action now. The beta pits humans and Cylons against each other in ship-to-ship combat on a galactic scale. Set at an unspecific point later in the TV series, the game begins after a malfunction throws both the Colonial and Cylon fleets into the middle of nowhere. The game is a race for survival against the opposing force, as both sides collect resources, repair, explore, and fight.

The game sounds like a simplified version of E.V.E., focusing on ship-to-ship combat with some brief glimpses of characters from the show. It’s also free (with paid microtransactions) and plays in your web browser (after a small download), so what are you waiting for? Check it out and let us know if its the video game all the toasters should get excited about.
