Infamous: Second Son's graphics aren't the only thing benefitting from the PS4's impressive hardware. In a new post on the PlayStation Blog, Sucker Punch Productions audio director Brad Meyer goes behind the "superhuman" sound of the highly anticipated PS4-exclusive.
"On inFamous 2 versus inFamous: Second Son we've got almost ten times the amount of memory that we have at our disposal, and what that means for us is way more sounds are going into the game," explains Meyer. "Every single sound that you hear is playing from a point in space."
Rather than having a looping track for ambient sound, Sucker Punch has created dynamic sounds that change based on tension levels, what time of day it is, and what neighborhood your in. Basically, there's a lot going on under the hood of inFamous: Second Son when it comes to sound, and today's video highlights some of the improvements.
