Benedict Cumberbatch is looking legit as Doctor Strange

Save for some leaked set photos, we haven't yet seen much of Benedict Cumberbatch portraying Stephen Strange in Marvel's upcoming Doctor Strange film — at least nothing to really get us jazzy. Well, that changed today as Entertainment Weekly published six exclusive photos of Cumberbatch as Marvel's Sorcerer Supreme.

I know it's just a few photos and some concept art, but the images give us a general sense of the style and visual effects Marvel is aiming for with the film. It appears as though they are sticking rather close to the hero's comic book counterpart, which I think fans will greatly appreciate.

Commenting on the visuals, producer Kevin Feige said, "When this comic appeared in the early '60s, it really informed, in a way that is pretty amazing, a lot of the psychedelic '60s as we know it. I don’t know that they were doing anything weird in the bullpen in Marvel, but certainly the stuff they were doing inspired all those people who were doing mind-expansion experiments at the time. So, that's inherent to the property. And that's our mission statement for the visual effects on this movie."

Check out the images below and get ready for Doctor Strange to hit theaters on November 4, 2016. Side note, check out our original post from all the way back in 2012 that called for a Doctor Strange movie to be made.
