After being initially thought only for PC, Pixelbomb games has announced that Beyond Flesh and Blood will also be coming to Xbox One when it releases next year.
The game is a a graphically-intense, story driven, third-person shooter, and challenges players to blast through multiple levels of hostile scavenger forces and mutating enemy threats on a mission to help reclaim the surface of Earth – starting with dystopian Manchester, UK.
Players become Ethan, and through him, jack into advanced multi-ability Tactical Combat Frames, or mechs, and battle a range of formidable enemies while accessing progressive weapon systems across the post-apocalyptic UK city in fast-paced gameplay. There will be no love lost between hostile enemy classes in a bid to lay the foundations for a safe, human return as gamers’ skills will be tested to the limit. Beyond Flesh and Blood will provide a full 6-9 hours of story-led gameplay.
The game is set to be extremely tough with "no hand holding". Lee Blacklock of Pixelbomb commented on the Xbox One announcement by saying, "We are extremely proud to be part of the ID@Xbox program. Their presence at major events has been incredible; and as busy as he is, Agostino Simonetta being present to chat to developers speaks volumes about Microsoft’s real commitment to indies like us.”
Beyond Flesh and Blood is set for a 2016 release via the ID@xbox program.
