Black Ops 2 ‘highest pre-orders in history’ at GameStop

Breaking news – this just in – you may want to take a seat for this one, folks: Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is widely popular and highly anticipated by the gaming community. In fact, it’s so popular that GameStop has officially ordained the game with the title, “highest pre-orders in history.”

Indeed, today GameStop president Tony Bartel commented that “consumer anticipation for Call of Duty: Black Ops II is tremendous. We are seeing the highest pre-orders in history. With its current pace, this Call of Duty is on track to break records and is likely to be our biggest game launch of all time.”

Black Ops 2 has been in the news since it’s unveil last year, and especially lately, having announced several features, including free Call of Duty: Elite for all who purchase the upcoming shooter. The game was also on pace to shatter Amazon pre-order records, in addition to surpassing Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders earlier this year.
