Blizzard announces new World of Warcraft children’s book, Snowfight

Running out of stories to read your kid(s) at night? Blizzard has got you covered with a new children's book based on the World of Warcraft games. It's called Snowfight, and it's currently being written by senior VP of story and franchise development Chris Metzen and illustrated by Blizzard artist Wei Wang.

Metzen told Polygon that the idea of a children's book based on Warcraft's lore and characters spawned from his kids' interest franchise that their father had so heavily invested his time into.

"I've been thinking about it for a while," Metzen said. "I always thought the idea would be really cool. There was just something about these ideas… that just felt really fun and like getting back to basics."

Snowfight is set to make its premiere at BlizzCon and will go on pre-sale later this year.

"It's so weird," Metzen concluded, "but it's one of those passion projects we wanted to chase … and I hope it just pops."

Would you read your kid a book based on World of Warcraft?
