Blizzard is back at developing something to follow up their most recent success with Overwatch, according to new job listings. The Career Directory has detailed a number of openings at Blizzard, with two job listings pointing at a new first-person game.
Apparently, Blizzard needs to lead software engineers that are experienced with first-person game engines for an unannounced project:
Blizzard Entertainment is seeking an experienced engine engineer to work on a robust first-person engine for an unannounced project.
Blizzard doesn't have a long history with first-person games. Overwatch, their most recent release, rose from the ashes of the first-person shooter MMO, codenamed Titan, that "failed horrifically."
The job listings could mean one of two things, either Blizzard is working on an expansion for Overwatch or they are working on a new game. The prior is likely, considering Blizzard's past with supporting their games for long periods of time with expansions. Overwatch, being a relatively new release, hasn't seen any major expansions.
