On the week of March 26, Blizzard will be nerfing* the end content of their newest expansion Cataclysm. In the raid itself you have a buff* called the "Power of the Aspects" which offers a damage reduction and health reduction to all enemies. The "Power of the Aspects" buff initially went into effect on January 31, 2012 with a 5% de-buff to enemies. The buff was then increased to 10% on the week of February 28, making the Dragon Soul raid easier. Now we see the buff increased to 15%, this should make raid even easier then before.
Even though players can turn the buff off by talking to Lord Afrasastrasz, many players feel as though the Dragon Soul raid is turning into the next ICC. If you're new to World of Warcraft then you never had the chance to faceroll through the ICC raid in its final days. Oh, ICC means Icecrown Citadel by the way.
Nerfs such as these allow casual World of Warcraft players to further their progression in raids but the "Looking for Raid" feature was supposed to cover that. This nerf won't be the last of the nerfs though, we should be seeing progressive nerfs as Mists of Pandaria encroaches. In fact, with a 15% nerf coming we should be seeing a Mists of Pandaria beta around the corner. Which is exciting in itself because with all these nerfs we will need something to keep us busy.
