Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel release date announced

2K and Gearbox announced today that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will be released on October 14, 2014. Set in between the events of the original Borderlands and Borderlands 2, the Pre-Sequel chronicles the rise of Handsome Jack as you play as four members of the Hyperion Corporation.

Perhaps more exciting than a release date, Gearbox also released a brand new trailer for the game. There's not as much wub wub as the Borderlands 2 "Doomsday Trailer," but it's still pretty awesome. Working with Harmonix, the new trailer features a moon dance sequence. That's right, a moon dance. Low gravity, lots of weapons, crazy psychodelic effects, and maybe a little bit of wub.

Consider this the start of the E3 celebration.
