Poly Bridge is a bridge building simulator that aims to strike a balance between engaging for serious digital engineers and goofy for casual players that just want to see things go wrong and fall apart. The game has been available for purchase under Steam's Early Access program since June 30th, 2015 but developer, Dry Cactus has announced that the game will finally be released in full on July 12th, 2016.
The full release will come with more levels, improved game modes, enhanced artwork, online leaderboards, thousands of player-created levels, Twitch streaming integration and much more. The game has been very successful over the past year, in large part due to its GIF export feature which has helped the game expand its popularity through the likes of Reddit and Twitter.
Here's a list of the notable improvements from the game's full release:
- Level count for the Campaign has jumped from 36 to 105
- An entirely new Sandbox and Workshop modes that are way better than before
- Completely redone and significantly-improved artwork, with the addition of visual effects such as ambient occlusion and more
- More complex controls available, including multi-phase hydraulic controller, split joints, and all sorts of other technical mumbo-jumbo
- A new and improved user interface and in-game tools to build bridges
- Online leaderboards and rankings to add a competitive edge
- Unique Twitch integration that allows fans and viewers to make changes and improvements to broadcasters’ bridge designs in real time
Poly Bridge is currently 25% off thanks to Steam's Summer Sale.
