During E3 2011, fans were treated to a surprise that was Brothers in Arms: Furious 4. The gritty shooter looked promising and was slated for 2012. Well, it’s July of 2012 and we’ve heard little to nothing from Randy Pitchford and the guys at Gearbox whom are currently working on a little game called Borderlands 2.
Today, though, Pitchford, Gearbox’s co-founder, revealed that the game is currently delayed indefinitely but is still in development and has “evolved” from what folks saw during the 2011 expo. Better yet, he expects gamers to be “surprised” by the “different track” the game has taken, and hopes to be able to talk about it more soon.
Could Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 now be a military shooter that focuses around shooting Nazi aliens? Hm, probably not. Nevertheless, you should keep your eyes peeled on this story, because the game did impress during its reveal. And lets be honest, anything by Gearbox and Pitchford is worth believing in, right?
