Earlier today we got a preview of upcoming weapons for Destiny's expansion The Taken King. While The Taken King has yet to release – it has around two months to go until release, a small part of Bungie's team has already moved on.
Speaking with GamesRadar, Bungie's Engineering Lead Luke Timmins has revealed that post-The Taken King content is already being developed:
“Right now, if you were to break a window and sneak into Bungie, you would see the Live team – the vast majority of the team is working on The Taken King – and then you would see another, smaller group that is already starting to think about the next adventure.”
Bungie has stated that they have a 10-year plan for Destiny and with moving a small portion of their team onto upcoming content, it looks like they will be sticking to that plan. Regardless of part of the team moving onto another project, it isn't likely that we will be seeing new content this year after The Taken King releases – at least not major content updates.
Hopefully the team that moved on will be available after The Taken King launches to smooth out any possible launch issues.
