Bungie confirms tomorrow’s release of Destiny’s December update

Will not arrive as part of the Weekly Reset

Update: The December Update has released, get the details here.

It was expected, but now it's confirmed that Destiny's massive December update will arrive tomorrow, December 8th. It will not, however, arrive as part of the Weekly Reset; but, instead, be deployed separately "when the time is right," Bungie said.

Bungie expects to set the update live "tomorrow morning (Pacific Time)," but did not provide an exact time. Typically updates arrive around noon/1pm Easter Time, so I'd say that's a safe window, barring any last minute delays. But that's just my own speculation. Of course, we'll keep you updated with any new announcements.

As a reminder, tomorrow's update will bring a new round of weapon tweaks (including Exotics), class balancing (with a particular focus on the Titan class), and even more Year One Exotic upgrades. It was also recently revealed that the December update will introduce a special, limited-time-only Sparrow racing event.

Full patch notes for the December update should arrive tomorrow.
