Do you remember Burnout 3: Takedown? How about Crash Mode? This inspired a new game from Three Fields Entertainment, a company established by the founders of Criterion. This game is called Danger Zone.
Danger Zone's main goal is to create the biggest car crash possible. Bigger crashes = bigger rewards. It's like Burnout 3's Crash Mode but with even more options. causing enough mayhem earns a SmashBreaker, which turns your car into a bomb that can explode on demand.
"We are going back to our roots by creating a game in a genre we are truly passionate about," said Fiona Sperry, Three Fields' founder, and CEO, in a press release. "Danger Zone takes what made the Crash Mode featured in 2004's Burnout 3: Takedown so popular and transforms it into an all-new car-crashing, arcade-style game. We look forward to engaging those same fans by delivering an entirely new and extremely fun experience."
Danger Zone comes with twenty single-player missions, connected to leaderboards so you can compete online. If you miss Burnout, then Danger Zone may scratch a familiar itch, especially if you were a fan of Crash Mode.
Danger Zone is set to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in May 2017.
