Activision has released a new live-action trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, just days ahead of the game's highly anticipated reveal on Sunday.
The new trailer, dubbed "Ember," sets the stage for a futuristic setting that was previously described via the game's website.
"In the next 50 years, technological advancements will lead us into a world where only those who risk going too far, will find out how far we can actually go," the video's description reads.
The video doesn't actually show off any gameplay, but highlights several monumental moments and breakthroughs in human genetic engineering. Of course, it all leads to the speculation that "the United States sponsors some sort of Super Soldier program," which, of course, the government official denies.
I definitely like the tone of the video, but I'm a bit disappointed were going even further into the future. This looks like an even more futuristic Advanced Warfare, though some of the GameZone staff said it resembles more of a Deus Ex. Either way, those of you hoping for a past, or even current day, setting will probably be a bit disappointed.
The full Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 worldwide reveal is set for Sunday, April 26.
