Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 release date possibly revealed

November 3rd!?

A strange Amazon product page posted by Activision for the already released "Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Day Zero" edition suggests a release date for the newly announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Interestingly, the product page lists a November 3, 2015 release date. Seeing as how Advanced Warfare has been out for a while now, many believe it to be a placeholder for the newly announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. Oddly enough, there's also another release date posted on the page that says 11/03/2014, which is the year Advanced Warfare released, but the wrong day. So basically, there's all sorts of shadyness going on with this page.

Make of it what you will, but a November 3, 2015 release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 would fall into Activision's typical release schedule for the popular first-person shooter franchise. Not only is November 3 a Tuesday, which is typically when games release in the United States, but it's also the first week of November, which is usually when a new Call of Duty releases.

Last year's Advanced Warfare released on November 4, while 2013's Ghosts launched on November 5. Adding a wrinkle into our speculation, Treyarch's Black Ops 2 was the last Call of Duty title to not release in the first week in November; it launched on November 13.

There's definitely something suspicious going on here. The page even lists a "newer version" of the item which simply links to the standard Advanced Warfare. So is Activision merely using this as a placeholder for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3? Is it just an honest mistake? Am I looking way too much into this in a desperate attempt to find something about Call of Duty?

That's for you to decide, but I don't think a November 3, 2015 release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is too unbelievable. Either way, we should find out soon as the world reveal for Black Ops 3 is slated for April 26. Details about the game have already been discovered thanks to the game's official website, but we're awaiting official confirmation via the reveal.
