Call of Duty: Ghosts first pack of downloadable content, titled Onslaught, will release on January 28, according to a teaser posted by Infinity Ward. Though a previously leaked poster for the DLC indicates that this date could only apply to the Xbox versions of the game. While official confirmation will likely come sometime this week (hopefully today), we do have this teaser video hosted on Infinity Ward's Instagram account.
"Something menacing is coming Jan. 28. Get ready for the #Onslaught," the developer teased.
That music you're hearing is from the classic horror film Halloween, which is fitting given that Onslaught will introduce a new enemy to Extinction mode in the form of spiders. And while the video doesn't specifically mention this, a GameStop store display suggests it'll also contain a slew of multiplayer maps: Fog, Containment, Bayview, and Ignition. A bonus Maverick AR and Sniper Rifle are also said to be included.
Onslaught is the first of four planned DLC packs for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Remaining DLC will be called Devastation, Invasion, and Nemesis. Season Pass owners will get Onslaught for free, though Infinity Ward has yet to confirm a specific price for a standalone version.
