Call of Duty: Ghosts update adds new ‘Heavy Duty’ mode

Yesterday, Infinity Ward rolled out a new update to all versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts. While there were a few fixes and weapon balance tweaks, the major feature was the addition of a new mode called "Heavy Duty."

As the name suggests, Heavy Duty adds increased health to players, effectively enhancing the "bullet sponge" effect. Additionally, new loadouts have been added to Infected mode and 5 squad points are now granted to each soldier at the initial 5 levels of progression.

Below are the weapon balances and game fixes:

Weapon Balance:

  • Reduction in the flinch benefit of the Focus perk for Sniper Rifles.
  • ADS speed reductions and further adjustments to Sniper Rifle settings.

Additional Fixes:

  • Field Order adds 100xp on pickup.
  • Fix for unlimited perks.
  • Invisible exploit fix.
