Call of Duty is one of the biggest franchises around, so it’s no surprise its eSport offerings are as exciting as any other sporting event. With the first ever Call of Duty League Playoffs on the horizon, CDL has released a comical new cooking-themed promo.
The video, hosted by Chef Tony (Methodz) runs down the schedule and match-ups by sprinkling in appropriate ingredients to create a Call of Duty League “recipe”. Such as salt for the saltiest of players and onions because “their record will make you cry”.
The Call of Duty League prize pool will feature a total of $4.6 million split across the various rankings. The overall champion will bring home a whopping $1.5 million with the runner-up getting $900,000. The playoffs will stream on the Call of Duty League YouTube channel starting on August 19th and will end on August 23rd.
