Much has been made about Call of Duty: WWII, but nothing quite so much like the latest video that has been released on the official Call of Duty YouTube channel. It's a documentary showcasing how Sledgehammer Games brought in a real-life Historian to help them with a lot of the smaller details. The team also visited many of the locations that will be in the game to gain a real-life sense of what it's like to be in a place where so many fought and died.

One of the more important things that the documentary touches on is the fact that every year, we are losing more and more first-hand accounts of the war, with more veterans dying every day. It won't be long until there isn't any more of them left to tell us what it was really like, so Call of Duty: WWII aims not only to entertain but to help teach younger generations to appreciate the sacrifices of those from what Tom Brokaw once coined, The Greatest Generation.
Call of Duty: WWII releases on PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 3rd, 2017.
