Call of Duty: WWII bringing anti-cheat/hacking tech to PC game; Future fixes detailed

Th Call of Duty: WWII PC beta officially kicked off on September 29th and wrapped up on October 2nd. Since then, Activision and Sledgehammer have been taking a look at all of the feedback they have received and have worked out a few of the improvements that they will be bringing to the game.

Before Call of Duty: WWII releases, Sledgehammer will be preparing a series of improvements and one of which will be something to address cheaters. The devs recognize that there will always be game exploiters out there, but they will do what they can to stop it.

There will be a "suite of anti-cheat/hacking technology" in the full PC game and the devs are taking "a level playing field extremely serious and will monitor and react to this as a top priority on an ongoing basis."

In addition to that, the devs will be bringing a few quality of life improvements:

  • Scroll bars on options that scroll.
  • Allow numerical entry to mouse and controller sensitivity options (in addition to slider).
  • Streamline the exit of the game.
  • Clearly indicate being in Party status in UI.
  • Making the resolution options more clear and consistent.
  • Video option video memory indicator.
  • Warnings about video memory over-commitment.
  • Option to bind lean left/right keys in multiplayer.

These are the fixes that the devs can openly state they are bringing, they are also working on a number of smaller issues that they are tracking. These issues will be addressed in future patch notes.
