Call of Juarez: Gunslinger’s gritty gameplay shown off in new trailer

As I'm sure fans are well aware, Ubisoft's Call of Juarez franchise is returning to the series roots with its latest installment, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. To date, we've seen a live-action trailer and a very brief teaser, all leading up to today's grand gameplay debut.

Today's reveal trailer is comprised entirely of gameplay footage, giving us a nice look at the game's return to the gritty Wild West. In Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, you'll play as Silas Greaves, a bounty hunter who is tasked with taking down the most notorious outlaws, including Billy the Kid, Pat Garrett, and Jesse James — many of whom are present in today's trailer. And because its linked to the history of hte Wild West era, the story will be a nice mix of myths and history facts.

After 2011's debacle, which brought western elements into today's time period with Call of Juarez: The Cartel, I'm thankful to see the game return to the grittier western roots of the series. Once again developed by Techland and published by Ubisoft, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger has a target release of Q1 2013 for Xbox LIVE, PlayStation Network, and PC. What do you think of today's trailer?
