Fans that had been eagerly awaiting playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 with a friend on the PC were shocked to find out that this, in fact, was not a feature on the PC nor was it one at any point.
The Steam page for Resident Evil Revelations 2 did not mention the fact that local co-op was not featured in the game like it is on other platforms. Once Capcom realized that the Steam page omitted this information, they amended the page.
Perhaps Capcom thought that local co-op was long and dead on the PC (who plays split-screen on the PC anyway?). Unfortunately, players had purchased the game with the intention of playing locally with a friend. Capcom recognizes their mistake and took to Steam to apologize, they are looking into potential solutions for the situation.
Dear RE fans,
We apologize to our Resident Evil Revelations 2 PC players who purchased the game and expected to have local co-op as a feature. The feature wasn’t intended for this version and that caveat was mistakenly omitted from the product description on the Steam page earlier, and then included as soon as we were made aware. This was an unintentional error and again, we apologize for the confusion this may have caused.
We are currently looking into the matter and potential solutions and we hope to have new information to share very soon, so please stay tuned. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Seriously though, who plays local split-screen on the PC?
