The new Strider game, a "retelling" of the old arcade title, is headed to consoles and PC in mid-February with two newly announced modes.
The side-scrolling platformer is headed first to PlayStation 3 and PS4 on Feb. 18, Capcom confirmed today. Strider will arrive on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC the following day, Feb. 19. All versions will cost $15.
Capcom also introduced two new modes "to elevate replayability." They are Beacon Run, a speedrun-style racing mode, and the self-explanatory Survival mode.
The original Strider debuted in arcades before making its way to home consoles. In the 2014 version, players control the assassin Strider Hiryu as he hunts down his target, Grandmaster Meio, in the futuristic dystopian metropolis of Kazakh City. Double Helix Games and Capcom's Osaka studio are co-developing the title.
