Well, we're quickly closing in on MLG Dallas on Novemeber 2nd-4th, and Major League Gaming has released the list of casters ready to bring you the action this time around. It's set to be an extremely exciting event with six tournaments. Compare that with last year's event around this time (MLG Orlando) and you'll see it's doubled. Let's run through the list really quickly, shall we?
Also in employment once again, the touchscreen analysis screen will be back in action, with Dignitas' Apollo bringing you all the key moments in each battle on the main stream. Always a fun segment to watch, we'll see what other new innovations MLG has in store this time around.
343 Industries' Halo 4 makes its pro debut at MLG Dallas as well, and they've brought in some top talent for commentary as well. Pros Kyle "Elamite Warrior" Elam, Andy "Bravo" Dudynsky, Nathan "Unbreakable" Mann and Frank "U4ixx" Bowen will be providing play by play throughout the tournament. I look forward to seeing what new tools 343 has implemented from an eSports angle and what these commentators can do with them!
The League of Legends Invitational tournament at MLG Dallas has had quite alot of mystery around it. Since its announcement, MLG has been fairly quiet about which teams are coming, other than to say two Korean teams will be there, one of which we now know is Azubu Flame, the winners of the MLG Summer Arena. We're not yet sure who else will be there, but I'd place money and say that we'll likely see some of the top teams from the Season 2 championships there. We do however know who's casting: Deman, Jatt, MonteCristo, and OptimusTom. These guys have all casted for MLG before, so we know it should be exciting!
All of this is well and good, but if you don't know how to tune in, what good will it do you? Fortunately for you, MLG will be providing HD passes for you to watch in full 1080p, which are now available for 14.99. Matches will be available live for free via MLG's site at www.majorleaguegaming.com/live.
This includes all five streams (two for StarCraft II, one for Halo, one for League and a fighting game stream) ad free and with full DVR functionality just in case you miss any of the action. A complete broadcast schedule will be available soon – so stay tuned to GameZone for that! And as I've said many times now, we'll be live on the floor bringing you the action as soon as it happens, so expect to see interviews with the winners, first hand fan reactions and much more!
