CD Projekt preparing for ‘Cyberpunk’ announcement in mid-October

The makers of The Witcher are revealing more about their untitled "Cyberpunk" game on October 18.

CD Projekt Red is hosting the "Special Event 2012" with GOG.com at 10 a.m. Pacific. You can stream the announcement on both GOG.com and Facebook.

The developer plans to reveal more details about the Mac version of The Witcher 2, along with new information about its upcoming adaptation of Mike Pondsmith's pen-and-paper Cyberpunk role-playing game.

Cofounder and chief executive officer Marcin Iwiński previously said the game would be "more about how technology empowers you to change the world on your own.”

In addition, GOG will discuss bringing its PC games "to a new operating system."
