CD Projekt Red may be all-in on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt right now, but Cyberpunk 2077 is still a thing. It's just not the developer's full focus right now.
“The first rule of Cyberpunk 2077 is that we don’t talk about Cyberpunk 2077,” Michal Platkow-Gilewski, CD Projekt Red's head of marketing and public relations, told Gamespot jokingly.
“On a more serious note, in short, communication-wise, we are now focusing entirely on The Witcher: Wild Hunt. Everyone is working crazy hard to give gamers around the world an RPG to remember. Worry not, Cyberpunk 2077 is OK, its time will come,” he assured.
We haven't heard much about Cyberpunk 2077 since its reveal in Octoer 2012. We were treated to a brief trailer in January 2013, but CD Projekt Red hasn't really detailed the game in length. There's also no expected release window for the game, with Projekt Red simply saying it'll come "when it's ready."
On the bright side, the delay of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's release is said to not have affected development of Cyberpunk 2077. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is set to release on May 19, 2015, barring any more delays.
